Engineering services
DFM review
Checks on your design data before quotation so issues are resolved early.
- Data completeness and manufacturability
- Drill, route, copper and spacing checks
- Stack-up and special process questions
Stack-up engineering
A proposed or checked stack-up based on your layer count, thickness, copper and impedance targets.
- Proposed stack-up
- Material options
- Engineering questions
Impedance engineering
Trace geometry proposed with the stack-up and a verification method agreed for the order.
- Targets and tolerances clarified
- Geometry proposed with the stack-up
- No value assumed without project review
Material selection
Candidate laminates compared against frequency, loss, thermal and cost targets.
- Candidate materials
- Trade-off notes
- Availability questions

Design and simulation support
Beyond manufacturing review, the ShinePCB team works with the mainstream layout tools — Allegro, PADS, Altium Designer (Protel) and Mentor Expedition — and uses multi-physics simulation, including signal-integrity simulation for links up to 120 Gbps, to flag risks before a board is built.
Design and simulation scope is agreed per project. The automotive IATF 16949 certificate excludes product design (clause 8.3), so automotive boards are manufactured to customer design files.
Engineering release process
Input check
Files, drawing, quantities and requirements are checked for completeness.
DFM review
Manufacturability of drill, route, copper, spacing, stack-up and special processes.
Engineering questions
Open points are sent to you in one consolidated list.
Customer confirmation
Answers and any proposed changes are confirmed in writing.
Production release
The confirmed data set is released to the assigned facility.
What engineering needs from you
Start with the details you have — engineering will request anything else needed for the review.
Files and details for a PCB review
- Gerber (RS-274X) or ODB++ data with drill files
- Fabrication drawing with material, thickness and finish
- Stack-up and impedance targets, if any
- Quantity for prototype and for production
- Special requirements such as IPC class, testing or packaging
Technical files stay private
Customer Gerber, BOM and design data are managed under an ISO/IEC 27001 information security system and shared only within your project.
